3. CONSIDER PRELIMINARY 2007 LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS
   Minutes: Vern Crawford, Legislative Liaison, provided Board Members with a brief summary of the 2007 Preliminary Legislative Proposals.
   
   Board Members discussed the following topics: involvement of the Education Commission; high school reform and career academies; Class Size Reduction; school construction costs; increase funding in safe schools; Florida Education Finance Program; HB1877 background checks; human resources; charter schools; and charter school district.
   
   
   Motions:
   

   I recommend that the School Board adopt preliminary Legislative Proposals for the regular 2007 Florida Legislative session and for presentation to the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation, other members of the Legislature, and to statewide education organizations for support.	-	PASS
